UTON Wallet (hereinafter referred to as "the Company" or "we") respects and protects the privacy of its users (hereinafter referred to as "you" or "user"). When you engage in the following activities, the Company will collect, disclose, and process your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy"):
* (a) Accessing or using our website or mobile application ("Application") and services;
* (b) Provide us with your personal information, regardless of the medium through which it is provided.
We recommend that you carefully read and understand the entire contents of this policy before using the application. Important information, including the disclaimer and other clauses, will be highlighted in bold. The definitions of keywords in this policy are consistent with our UTON Wallet Service Agreement. If any definitions or terms used in this policy are inconsistent with those in the UTON Wallet Service Agreement, this policy shall prevail.
By providing us with your personal information, you agree to our collection, use, disclosure (including transmission), and processing of your personal information in accordance with this policy. If you do not accept this policy, please do not provide us with any personal information.
This policy may be updated online by our company at any time without prior notice. The updated policy will take effect immediately upon publication on our application and will supersede the original policy. The revised policy will immediately apply to the personal information you provide to us. If you do not accept the revised terms, please stop using the application immediately; your continued use of the application will be deemed as acceptance of the revised policy.
I. What information do we collect from you?
* To ensure the normal operation of the wallet, we may collect necessary device information, application operation logs, and information you voluntarily provide.
* When you contact us proactively (e.g., submit feedback, send emails), we may collect information you proactively provide, such as your email address and the content of your feedback, in order to process your issue.
* You acknowledge that your wallet password, private key, mnemonic phrase, and keystore information on the application are not stored or synchronized to our servers. We do not provide services for retrieving your wallet password, private key, mnemonic phrase, or keystore information.
* We may request additional personal information from you to enable you to use certain features of the app. If you do not agree to provide such personal information, you will be deemed to have waived your right to use certain features of the app.
* To the extent permitted by laws and regulations, our company may collect and use your personal information in the following circumstances without obtaining your authorization or consent:
- (1) Related to national security and defense security;
- (2) Those related to public safety, public health, or major public interests;
- (3) Those related to criminal investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution of judgments;
- (4) The personal information collected is in the public domain;
- (5) Collect your personal information from legally disclosed information, such as legitimate news reports and government information disclosure channels;
- (6) Necessary for maintaining the security and compliance of the service, such as detecting and handling product and service failures;
- (7) Other circumstances permitted by laws and regulations.
* We collect information in the following ways:
- (1) When you voluntarily provide us with information, for whatever reason;
- (2) When you authorize us to obtain your information from a third party;
- (3) You use our applications and services;
- (4) When you contact or interact with our employees through various communication channels, such as social platforms, communication platforms, face-to-face meetings, telephone, email, etc.;
- (5) When you do business with us, contact us, or ask us to contact you;
- (6) When you request to subscribe to our emails; and/or
- (7) We may query publicly available on-chain transaction information through blockchain nodes to display assets and transaction records to you. However, your transaction records shall be based on the records of the blockchain system.
* Our applications may contain technologies that collect personal information, and the specific methods of collection will be described in this policy or applicable terms and conditions.
* Providing us with your personal information is a voluntary act on your part, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. However, if you choose not to provide us with the personal information we request, you may not be able to use the application, and we may not be able to contact you or provide you with the products or services you need.
* In some circumstances, you may provide us with personal information that is not yours. If you provide information about another person, you must ensure that you have obtained the consent of that data subject, allowing us to collect that data subject's personal information, and that the data subject consents to your disclosure of their personal information to us. You agree to indemnify and hold us liable should that data subject bring a claim against us for our collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information in accordance with the terms of this policy.
* You should ensure that the personal information you provide to us is true, accurate, and complete. You should notify us when your personal information changes.
II. How We Use Your Information
* We will collect, use, or disclose your personal information for one or more of the following purposes:
- (1) To provide you with the products and services you request;
- (2) Handling your relationship with us;
- (3) Enhance your user experience;
- ( 4 ) We will send you important notifications in a timely manner, such as software updates, changes to the service agreement and the terms of this policy;
- ( 5 ) Assist you in handling your questions, feedback, complaints and requests through your wallet address and the mobile device information provided;
- ( 6 ) Inform you about our products, services, projects and activities;
- ( 7 ) To resolve disputes, investigate any complaints, claims or disputes, or any actual or possible illegal acts;
- ( 8 ) Comply with laws, regulations, and the requirements of regulatory agencies;
- ( 9 ) Fulfill our obligations and the terms and conditions of the contract;
- (1 0 ) Any reasonable purpose relating to the foregoing purposes.
* If you agree, we will use your personal information from time to time for other purposes, such as informing you of the latest activities, offers and promotions launched by our strategic partners or affiliates.
* We offer a "fingerprint or face login" option in UTON Wallet's "Usage Settings" for easy management of your digital assets.
* We offer a "Password-Free Payment" option in UTON Wallet. Password-free payment stores your wallet password in your mobile device's Keychain/Keystore using a secure encryption algorithm. During transactions, your biometric authentication (fingerprint or face) is used to quickly complete the payment and signature.
III. How do you control your information?
You have the following autonomy over your personal information within the application:
* You can import other wallets into this application by importing mnemonic phrases, private keys, or keystores, or you can export wallets from this application and import them into other compatible wallets. The application will then display the corresponding wallet information to you.
* You are aware that you can manage your digital assets, add tokens, and conduct transfers and receipts through the "Assets" section.
* You are aware that in the "Me" section of the application, you are free to choose to perform the following operations:
- (1) In "Settings", you can choose not to enable the "Fingerprint or Face Login" option, that is, you can choose not to use biometric authentication (such as Face ID, Touch ID or Android fingerprint authentication).
- (2) In the "Submit Feedback" section, you can submit your application issues and suggestions for improvement at any time. We will be happy to communicate with you and actively improve our services.
* You are aware that you can choose not to enable the "password-free payment" option, meaning you can choose not to use your biometrics during transactions.
* You acknowledge that neither you nor we have control over whether your transaction records are made public, because based on the open-source nature of the blockchain transaction system, your transaction records are publicly transparent throughout the entire blockchain system.
* Our application may contain links to other websites, applications, or smart contracts that are not owned, operated, developed, or maintained by us. These links are provided for your convenience. This policy applies only to our application. When you use third-party services, you acknowledge that our "UTON Wallet Agreement of Service" and "UTON Wallet Privacy Policy" will no longer apply. We recommend that you carefully read and understand their privacy rules and user service agreements, etc.
* You have the right to request us to update, modify, or delete your personal information and to withdraw your consent. If you wish to withdraw your consent, or if you wish to update, modify, delete, or access the personal information we hold, or if you do not accept our modifications to this policy, you can contact: support@UTON Wallet.zendesk.com
* In many cases, we need to obtain your personal information so that we can provide you with the products or services you request. If you choose to refuse to provide us with the personal information we request or withdraw your consent, we may not be able to continue to provide you with the products and services you request.
IV. We may share or transmit your information.
* We will retain your personal information only for the period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy, and will store it in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
* We will not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to any third party without your consent.
* If you consent to our disclosure of your personal information to strategic partners or affiliates, we may disclose your personal information to such entities. These entities will only use your personal information for the purposes you have consented to.
* You agree that we may disclose or share your personal information with the following third parties:
- (1) Service providers and data processors who represent us and provide services to us, such as website hosting, data processing, email services, technical support and other service providers.
- (2) Our consultants and professional advisors (e.g., accountants, lawyers, auditors).
* If, for the purposes described above, we need to transfer your personal information to any other country, we will obtain your consent and ensure that the recipient of your personal information has the same level of personal information protection measures as us. If such country or region does not yet have personal information protection laws applicable to our relationship with you, we will enter into a legally enforceable agreement with the recipient of your personal information.
* Without your prior consent, we will not share or transfer your personal information to any third party, except in the following circumstances:
- (1) The personal information collected was disclosed to the public by you voluntarily;
- (2) The personal information collected is collected from legally publicly disclosed information, such as legal news reports and government information disclosure channels;
- (3) To provide or implement this policy in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, legal procedures, or the requirements of administrative or judicial authorities in order to protect our or other parties' rights, property or safety;
- (4) In the event of a merger or acquisition, if the transfer of personal information is involved, the Company will require the recipient of the personal information to continue to be bound by this policy.
V. How We Protect Your Information
* If our company ceases operations, we will stop collecting your personal information and take measures to delete or anonymize the personal information we hold within a reasonable period of time.
* To protect your personal information, our company will take data security technical measures, improve internal compliance, increase information security training for internal employees, and set secure access permissions for relevant data to protect your privacy.
* We will send you messages about information security in the UTON Wallet "Message Center" and will also update information on wallet usage and information protection in the UTON Wallet "Help Center" section from time to time for your reference.
VI. Protection of Minors
We have made the following special provisions for the protection of minors under the age of 18:
* Minors should use the company's services under the guidance of their parents or guardians.
* We recommend that parents and guardians of minors guide them in using the application only after reading this policy, the UTON Wallet Service Agreement, and other relevant rules.
* This application will protect the confidentiality and security of minors' personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
VII. Disclaimer
* You acknowledge that after you use third-party services, this policy will no longer apply to the collection, use, disclosure, and transmission of your personal information by those third parties. We cannot guarantee that such third parties will take reasonable security measures.
* You will be solely responsible for your use of third-party services, and you agree that you shall not hold the company liable for any loss or damage you suffer as a result of third parties collecting, using, disclosing, or transmitting your personal information.
* You acknowledge and accept that, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our company will take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information to the best of our ability, based on the principles of "as is," "as available," and "not guaranteed to be flawless," to avoid the leakage, alteration, or destruction of your information, provided that the company transmits data wirelessly. Therefore, our company cannot guarantee the privacy and security of data transmitted via wireless networks.
